1. Environmental site assessment
Initial investigation (Baseline screening) to identify potential environmental risks and historical land use:● Identify potential contaminants, assess soil quality, and evaluate the overall environmental condition of the site through the site visit and desktop study● Perform an in-depth analysis of historical land use practices in the project area by reviewing historical maps, land records, and archival data to identify any previous industrial activities, waste disposal practices, or other land uses that could have resulted in environmental contamination● Preparation of a comprehensive report that outlines potential environmental hazards, contamination concerns, and any other risks identified during the investigation.
Detailed investigation, including soil and groundwater sampling, to confirm the presence of environmental contaminants:● Soil and groundwater sampling and analysis, identifying risks and required additional studies● Geophysical surveys and research (including baseline studies and desktop studies)● Conducting assessments to detect the existence of dangerous substances (or other elements following the scope of work).
Assessment of the site's ecological value, including flora and fauna, to form conservation and mitigation measures:● Identifying and documenting the diversity of plant and animal species present on the territory, using appropriate methods● Identification and mapping of different habitat types (e.g. forests, wetlands, grasslands). Assessment of the quality and condition of each dwelling, taking into account factors such as vegetation structure, soil types and water availability● Evaluating ecological significance of the site (based on international and national conventions, standards and instruments).
