AVgroup conducts a series of webinars on sustainable development
The Agribusiness Sustainability Webinar Series is part of a practice community project that is a long-term initiative to build knowledge on sustainable development requirements among companies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The project will include annual sustainability forums, monthly webinars, and a regional platform for knowledge sharing on green finance.

During 2020-2021, 9 webinars have already been completed. Saved webinars can be viewed after registering on the initiative's website.

Although productivity and the use of modern agricultural technologies have increased, the industry is still experiencing difficulties in realizing its potential due to insufficient implementation of environmental and social risk management systems. This project aims to help FMO's agro-industrial clients implement the principles of sustainable development and increase access to finance. Our goal is to help the agricultural sector of Eastern Europe become a world leader in the implementation of modern sustainable solutions.
Peternel Boogaard, FMO Director of Agricultural Investments
The purpose of the webinars is to provide as much information as possible about the FMO “green” investment products and international financial organizations, as well as about the environmental and social requirements for obtaining them.

The project aims to disseminate practical knowledge on the growing demands of creditors on the environmental and social performance of agricultural companies. The webinars will focus on discussing the practical needs of the agricultural sector in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
